Wind Ensemble and Pre-Recorded Sounds

This piece was premiered by the Boston Conservatory at Berklee's Composer's Wind Ensemble at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee on March 16th 2018.

This work was conceived as an electroacoustic from the very beginning; although it is one that is much less involved than Concrete Indefinite, written the previous year. My goal in this composition is to represent the sounds and feelings of experiencing a thunderstorm from the safety of the indoors. The backing track is comprised of several sound samples of rain and wind from various locations.
