This work is representative of a phenomenon that most people have experienced.  Hypnagogia is when the brain moves into a dream-state while the main consciousness is still awake and active. This results in strange combinations of dreams and reality. This is shown by the piece's gradual increase in strange sounds, but a constant sound of thunder and the occasional return of the alarm to anchor the listener in the waking world. I highly recommend that you listen to this piece with stereo headphones due to the panning effects.

This track was created in Pro Tools and uses a large quantity of samples from various sources.
