Three electroacoustic pieces

Cognatism:

  • What do the electronics do? pre-recorded lines with reverb, delay, and EQ used in convolution synthesis with the live cello sounds.

  • Trumpet and live electronics: ca 6.5 mins

  • What do the electronics do?: Recordings of live material (triggered by pedal or spacebar on laptop) are send through a randomized LFO modulation and played back. Gradually overtakes the performer until they break free.

  • Concept and Material inspired by Pink Floyd’s Mother.

  • First paying commission. Also included premiere performance and studio recording to be done over the summer/fall.

  • Dancer, quartet, and live electronics: ca. 15 mins

  • Thesis project

  • Quartet comprised of Clarinet, Trombone, Cello, and Piano.

  • Inspired by various aspects of video game music. Layering, motifs/characters, Player Agency/Control Input, non-linearism, etc.

  • What do the electronics do?: set up code that tracks a color and maps the average location of the pixels. The location data is send to Pure Data and used to automate processing of the instrumental sounds.
