This piece was written shortly after the discussion of serialization and set theory in my undergraduate level theory class. At the time I thought it was exceedingly clever to continue the numeric ordering of pitches (0123456789AB) to include the entire english alphabet by restarting the chromatic scale. Once I had this system in place I started thinking of possible titles that sounded cool and landed on the title above. I then used my chart to turn the letters into a string of pitches that are initially heard as the opening of the piece. I have had mixed reactions to the work both by myself and my colleagues, but I welcome your opinions on this and any other of my pieces via my CONTACT page.
