This sound-scape is representitive of Henry Ossawa Tanner's 'Sand Dunes at Sunset, Atlantic City,' which was painted in 1885.

The audio is a collection and adaptation of sounds that are characteristic of an outdoor beach setting. Opening with simple waves and wind, the sound-scape takes the listener through a typical day at a beach, but allows the listener to have a sense of objectivity as everything is far off and never focuses on the listener. After the waves, the next sound heard is a dog barking, and a boat's horn followed by a gradually increasing crowd of people. eventually all of the living noises die away because the day has ended. The only thing left is the water and the boat. After nightfall has happened a pod of whales slowly travel by the beach, and perform their whale-song.
